OUR PASSIVE CANDIDATES – We want to provide you with the best possible candidates available. The database we have generated over the years at Boston Hale is extensive, and most of the candidates listed are passive – not actively searching for roles, but willing to consider the right move. This gives us access to exclusive candidates that other agencies don’t have contact with, meaning clients get the top choice of quality industry leaders.

OUR COMMITMENT TO EQUALITY & DIVERSITY –  To increase awareness of unconscious bias, our consultants take the Implicit Association Tests provided by Harvard to identify areas where they may have unconscious bias. Consultants are then aware of this bias when interviewing and can take steps to ensure they are focusing on treating all candidates equally. We have also implemented an Assignment Diversity Tracking system, to monitor the proportion of female, ethnic, disabled and aged 50+ candidates shortlisted.

OUR CANDIDATE CAREER COACHING – We understand that there are checks, criteria and necessary processes to follow when it comes to recruitment. However, at Boston Hale, providing support and guidance for our candidates is just as important. We have implemented Candidate Career Coaching into our process, to ensure they are in the best position mentally for the interview. We understand how nerve-racking interviews can be, and we want to make sure that each candidate feels comfortable, prepared and puts their best foot forward.

OUR CONSULTANTS – Every one of our consultants go through a structured and detailed 12-month training programme, after which they are placed on our Continuing Professional Development pathway. This ensures that our employees are always up to date on all relevant industry developments. We also have a Learning & Development team, that keep track of each employee’s individual need and provide further training as requested. For us, personal development does not stop once training is complete, it is a continuous part of a consultant’s role. Each of our consultants are also members of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation. Only 10% of all recruitment consultants in the UK are REC Members, but we ensure that 100% of our staff are registered, which means that you can be sure that your whole recruiting process follows all legal requirements and best practice.
