Job Description.

This is an exciting opportunity working for a large blue-chip organisation in central London (hybrid), where you will contribute to their digital transformation strategy as part of a wider team by effectively managing the upkeep of their Data Warehouse, ensuring efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for managing the performance and security of our data, supporting the multi-cloud Data Lake, designing and delivering a B2B Data Warehouse, integrating Google Analytics, eCommerce data and other sources into our Data Lake. Key responsibilities include:

  • Use of reporting applications (SSRS, PowerBI, Tableau and Looker) to provide data sets
  • Analysis of S3 data sources and data transformations into Warehouses
  • Ongoing development of AWS B2C Data Lake
  • Migration of SSAS Cube into new B2B AWS Data Warehouse
  • Align existing and new processes to defined design patterns and coding standards
  • Maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act
  • Refine and extend system and ETL designs to improve accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and consistency
  • Investigation, design and implementation of QA processes and reporting
  • Collation and maintenance of meta data about the Hearst Data Estate.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
  • Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users
