We are currently working with a leading University to recruit for an Interim Finance Business Partner.

The role would suit a someone who has previous Business Partnering experience within Higher Education and who is available at short notice.

Day to day duties:

• Support the efficient and effective delivery and presentation of management information
• Lead meetings to advise senior stakeholders on the financial position of their budgets and projects
• Assist in interpreting variances and agreeing follow-up measures where necessary
• Prepare annual budgets, projections and year-end forecasting
• Design and implement local reports to meet specific requirements
• Assist in the preparation of the final accounts and external returns
• Prepare and submit financial claims to funding bodies
• Assist with year-end audit process
• Provide training to both finance and non-finance members of staff
• Organise and deliver presentations as appropriate
• Assist in the training, instruction and coaching of team members

Essential criteria:

• CCAB part qualified as a minimum
• Proven ability to liaise effectively with staff at all management and directorate levels
• Good working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting issues and techniques
• Strong IT skills including excellent excel
• Experience working within the University sector
