Data Architect / Data Warehouse Developer

My client, a $6bn turnover organisation based in over 150 countries, is in need of a Data Architect / Data Warehouse Developer to lead on a number of Data Driven Initiatives.

The organisation is building an Enterprise Data Platform, and the business is now looking to use Data to drive critical business decisions

As a result, they have to ensure that they are continually improving their platform, and need someone to take the reins, overseeing the continued improvement of their Enterprise Data offering.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Own the technical solution and architecture of Data solutions in the business
  • Define and implement Data related solutions for diverse business processes, projects, and function according to specific architectural standards
  • Ensure that solution architecture designed is aligned with business needs and infrastructure
  • Review the proposal of 3rd parties to ensure that solutions are delivered at the least possible cost whilst meeting architectural standards
  • Hands on turnaround of rapid POC solutions working in SQL, cloud databases and new and existing data technology platforms to report on the suitability to use case and business need.
  • The role is 70% technical, 30% business facing
  • Hands-on Development won’t be your main focus, this will be more suitable for a Developer that is looking to take on a more Architect / Solution level role
  • Work on a programme of work to refine practices in our data platforms, and our overall approach to how data assets are documented / made accessible so that the Business and Technology can leverage them to their full extent.

It would be a fantastic opportunity to be at the hub of Data Technology, making critical technical decisions for the growth of their Enterprise Data Platform.

It’s also a mature environment where flexible working has been adopted. In the early stages you would need to be largely office based (Central London), but after a couple of months and having met the appropriate people to build relationships, there is the flexibility to work from home 1-2 days a week.

It’s a fantastic role with lots of internal stakeholder engagement and visibility across business critical technical projects, so please get in touch and I would be happy to talk it through so you can work out your thoughts.
