Our client, a huge multi-national Broadcasting company is looking for a Data Analyst to join their team with specific responsibilities to support the UK business with insights into broadcasting data. Reporting to the Consumer Insight Manager, the chosen candidate will be passionate about both media and the use of data to inform both creative and business decisions.

This is a 6-month interim position with the likelihood for it to move into a permanent job.

What you’ll be doing:

  • To conduct analysis drawing on multiple sources of consumption data to support business, content, scheduling, adsales, marketing and licensing & merchandising decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to add value to the business with new data analysis approaches and processes.
  • Assist in the production and distribution of regular performance reports; providing commentary that contextualises and give insights into performance trends.
  • Be the expert on digital measurement and emerging technologies within the UK & Nordics team
  • Support other members of the DCI UK team on a project-by-project basis.
  • Monitor competitor and market trends.
  • Support the DCI UK team by carrying out admin duties (manage the electronic DCI library).

What we’re looking for:

  • Highly numerate with a degree in a subject that requires data analysis.
  • At least six months working within a data analytics (or similar) role in a media or research environment.
  • Digital analytics experience is desirable.

Technical skills:

  • Strong MS office skills (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience using TechEdge, Adobe Analytics and/or YouTube Analytics
  • Experience of reporting in Looker, statistical packages (i.e. SPSS) or coding languages (i.e. SQL or Python) is desirable
