Of course, we are not in the business of offering financial advice to our talent networks, but we do, and can, recommend services and service providers who may be able to help. One example is our Preferred Supplier List of umbrella companies.
In the past, some of these companies have skirted the issue of compliance, and this has sullied the reputation of the industry. We are keen to help our contractors reduce the risk of working with umbrella companies that fall short of delivering services in line with best practice.
We are therefore delighted to announce that we have partnered with the FCSA – Freelancer and Contractor Services Association – the industry association that works to protect the interests of the sector and support the UK’s flexible workforce.
Raising standards
The FCSA has recently launched the Supply Chain Partner Charter, designed to raise standards of compliance and reduce risks to the supply chain when flexible workers are engaged. Crucially, all businesses who have joined this initiative have agreed to an annual independent review of their services to check that they continue to operate at the highest level.
As an FCSA Supply Chain Partner, we have committed to ensure that all umbrella companies we work with are FCSA Accredited Members. By doing this, we are helping our contractor network to be confident that they are represented by organisations that are fully compliant with the law and fully committed to protecting their interests.
Our values and culture at Boston Hale have customer service and a customer-first ethos at their core.
This partnership is just one of the initiatives that has come from our proactive drive to provide all of our customers with the best service possible.
